New York police have allegedly warned Shady Record's recording artist 50 Cent after recieving a "credible threat" that the Jam Master Jay assissination may have been related to several rappers who were offended by a song he and Jay did. 50 was reportedly offered a uniformed police officer for protection, but refused. Opting instead to cancel any of his scheduled appearance and leave town for awhile. Police were careful to stress that there was no real evidence relating the song to the shooting at this time.
