Newsbitz: Lil Wayne and Aretha Franklin

A jury indicted Lil Wayne on felony drug and weapons charges Tuesday. Wayne was charged with one count each of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the indictment.

It is assumed he'll be using his platinum fronts as collateral for bail when the time comes.

Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin dissed Beyonce Knowles' intro to Tina Turner at Sunday's Grammy Awards, in which Knowles called Turner, not Franklin, "the queen."

"I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on* or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce," Franklin said in a statement. "However, I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy."

Franklin then grabbed Beyonce by the ankles and swallowed her whole, as her personal assistant Salacious Crumb just laughed.

*Trust us, Aretha-you'd know who's toes you stepped on by their ear-piercing screams of pain.
