An official release date for Redman's long delayed sixth album, Red Gone Wild, has been confirmed.
Due in stores next month, the album features appearances from Method Man, Nate Dogg, Keith Murray and Biz Markie. Production on the disc is supplied by Erick Sermon, Scott Storch, Rockwilder and Eminem.
The album's first single, "Put It Down," which was produced by Timbaland, has been added to radio and a clip for the song will hit music video outlets in the first week of March, according to Billboard.
In support of Red Gone Wild, the New Jersey bred rapper recently released a mixtape titled Live From The Bricks which features appearances from Icarus, Yummy, Rockwilder and Saukrates, among others.
Red Gone Wild hits shelves on March 27 via Def Jam Records.
(Redman has never been released on schedule,on Def Jam, and this is the first "official" release date. I wouldn't count on this album being released on the 27th. Also like Method Man, Ghostface, & DMX's albums last year, even if it comes out, you may not know about it. I thought Jay-Z would bring Def Jam back to the top of hip hop, but he hasn't really given us shit. The Def Jam marketing team has gone to shit - Rob)

In another if-I-can't-revive-my-career-by-gettin-in-trouble-with-the-law-move, Busta Rhymes was arrested on February 22 in New York City on a traffic violation.
Busta was reportedly arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license after police say they pulled his vehicle over after running a red light. The rapper was taken into custody in lower Manhattan at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to reports by FOX News.
The rapper, who was due in court on Thursday (February 23) evening, could face up to 15 days in jail if convicted on the charge.
The arrest is just the latest in a string of legal problems for the Aftermath signee. Busta was recently offered a plea deal by a judge that covers two assault charges stemming from two separate incidents, which allegedly occurred in August and December 2006 respectively.
Rhymes was arrested on August 19, 2006 and charged with assault after he allegedly assisted in beating of a man who reportedly spat on the rapper's vehicle. Busta was again investigated several months later after he allegedly struck his former driver when he visited the rapper's office to request back payment that he says the rapper owed him.
According to New York's WCBS-TV, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Tanya Kennedy apparently informed Rhymes that if he plead guilty to a lesser third-degree assault charge, he would receive a conditional discharge. If he accepts the judge's offer, Busta would be sentenced to five days of community service, two weeks of youth lectures, and six months of anger management classes. He would also be on probation for three years. If he fails to meet the conditions of the sentence or if he violates probation, he could go to jail for a year. Rhymes has until March 26 to accept the plea agreement.
(what he needs is steroid management class. Busta was a whole lot more successful when he was fun "hoo haa". Ever since he's been "gangsta", I really feel more sorry for him than anything else - rob)
