Word is Island Def Jam will not release Foxy Brown's Black Roses on its December due date and in fact may drop the Brooklyn, NY femcee from the label altogther.
"Jay-Z is furious at Foxy's lack of productivity on her album Black Roses," a source told theNew York Post. "He is also mad because Foxy was talking out of school about him and Rihanna and saying things that weren't true. Def Jam planned to release her album around the release of her book, Broken Silence, but Foxy has since lost her publishing deal with Simon & Schuster and has been vigorously shopping her book to others."
Fox has had quite a bad streak as of late. She was recently sentenced to three years probation after being convicted of assaulting a manicurist and she lost a false arrest and defamation judgment against a woman she claimed robbed her two years ago. The Post also reported that an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" recently fell through and that Def Jam is looking to drop her.
"Foxy has absolutely no idea that she is about to get the ax from Jay," the source told The Post. "She's been trying to get meetings with him, and he isn't even returning her phone calls."
A Def Jam spokesperson wouldn't comment. On the other hand, a friend of Foxy's claims everything is in order. "Foxy left Simon & Schuster, not the other way around, and she's about to announce a deal with another book publisher. Her album is fine," the friend told The Post.

Publishing company Bridgeport Music has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court, claiming that Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter violated copyright laws on the song "Justify My Thug."
The song, which was produced by West coast legend DJ Quik, is contained on the rapper's 2003 hit release, The Black Album.
In Sept. 2004, Bridgeport Music won an influential decision that stated artists should pay for every sample included in their work.
The company seeks an undisclosed amount for the alleged copyright infringement.
Bridgeport and Westbound own the rights to many influential and heavily sampled recordings, including works created by George Clinton, Funkadelic and Parliament.
In 2001, Bridgeport Music and Westbound Records filed over 800 lawsuits against various artists.
In March, Bridgeport successfully halted sales the Notorious B.I.G. 's debut album Ready to Die, after it was ruled that a portion of an Ohio Players song Bridgeport owns was used without permission.
The publishing company was awarded over $4 million dollars in punitive damages.
Representatives for Jay-Z and Bridgeport declined to comment on the lawsuit due to pending litigation.
In related news, Jay-Z is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Life Magazine.
The image on the cover is rumored to be the artwork from his highly anticipated album Kingdom Come

The mystery surrounding the cause of recent leaks of the Game's new album, Doctor's Advocate, has been solved, thanks to the rapper himself.
The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, admitted to releasing a clean version of his upcoming release in an overt strategic move.
"I already leaked my album," Game revealed to AllHipHop.com. "I already leaked my s**t so n***as know what it is now. All they got to wait for is the dirty version."
While leaked albums are an unexpected occurrence for most artists, Game said his actions fall in line with a successful routine from past experience.
"People just don't remember last time," said the Compton rhymesayer. " The Documentary, me and Jimmy [Rosemond] did it at the same time. He leaked it out his way [the East Coast] and I leaked it out mine and it found its way out in the middle. But, The Documentary was leaked on Jan. 2 and my album came out on the 18th."
The Game likened the practice to an illegal practice that creates trust between the supplier and the demander.
"You gotta do that. You gotta give people a sample," said the rapper, who compared the process to an interesting trade. "It's like selling crack in the 'hood, man. Anybody that ever sold drugs in the hood knows you gotta give a n***a a taste before they buy.
"I leaked The Documentary the same time last year that I did this album," Game continued. "I got a formula. I know what to do. They know what it is, people hear the joints is classic and you ain't gonna hear s**t that you don't like."
Album leaks are not a new phenomenon for artists, who have seen and adverse affect on sales.
This year has seen albums from Lupe Fiasco, the Roots and Pharrell pushed back due to unauthorized leaks.
Most recently, Def Jam Records entertained the idea of investigating how tracks were leaked from Jay-Z's forthcoming album, Kingdom Come.
Whether the leak will ultimately hurt or boost Game's sales remains to be seen, but if the past is an indication, it could be fruitful.
The Documentary sold over 600,000 units in its first week and went on to sell over 5 million copies.
Game is confident he will come out on top and he dished out some cautionary advice for his peers.
"I leaked the clean version. That's what it is," he said. "Maybe n***as should copy off me, man, but then I'mma notice they copying and then I'm going to smash them. So, they might not want to do that."
Doctor's Advocate hits stores on November 14.
