According to the Hollywood Reporter, yesterday MTV announced they've green-lighted a Triple 6 comedy-reality series called "Adventures in Hollywood." The first episode opens with the group and entourage leaving Memphis behind to head to Hollywood for even greater fame.

Since performing "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" and claiming their award at the 78th Academy Awards, Three 6 Mafia have made appearances on shows like E! Network's "Girls Next Door" and VH1's "Flavor of Love 2." Most recently the group performed on the pilot episode of NBC's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." The nominations for the 2006 American Music Awards were announced earlier this week and hip-hop artists like Kanye West, T.I. and the Black Eyed Peas are all in the running for more than one award.

Nominees in pop/rock, country, soul/rhythm & blues, rap/hip-hop, Latin, alternative, contemporary inspirational and adult contemporary categories were announced by Carmen Electra and Tyrese at a press conference on Tuesday September 19th.

The Black Eyed Peas matched Mariah Carey, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nickelback with three nominations for the award show, which will be held November 21 at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, T.I. and the Pussycat Dolls each received two nominations.

This year the AMA's eliminated the favorite female rap/hip-hop artist category because less than five artists met the minimum eligibility requirements.
