Jay-Z fans have been anxiously awaiting has finally arrived. Tonight, Hov returns to the stage as New York's Power 105.1 hosts the Powerhouse Concert.
Last month, Jay told listeners of Power 105.1 that he would use the concert as an opportunity to smash his foes. The self-proclaimed “god MC” didn’t state whom he intended to annihilate under the show theme, “I Declare War.”
Bun B. appeared on Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’” and his own “Get Throwed,” from the Houston veteran’s album Trill. Bun said he’ll be at the venue with the stars, but won’t be fully involved, because of the nature of the show.
“I was planning on rocking with [Jay-Z], but I understand that there may be some circumstances of what he may do on stage. He may not want me to be included in what he’s got going on,” Bun told AllHipHop.com. “He’s about to go to war and I have a pretty good sense of the people he is going to call out. [They] are pretty good friends of mine.”
With a grin, Bun refused to divulge what may occur or who may be targeted at the 105.1 Powerhouse concert, but suggested that the rumors have some basis.
“I ain’t heard nothing,” he said chuckling. “I ain’t heard nothing more than what illseed is saying,” Bun said of AllHipHop.com’s rumor columnist. “That’s where I get all my info.”
There has been an enormous amount of speculation over who will be targeted. Insiders have speculated that Jay-Z will “declare war” on 50 Cent and G-Unit and convene a whole group of artists that support the notion.
Hood hearsay has also suggested that this group will consist of rappers like Nas, Fat Joe, The Lox and others including Sauce Money.
Representatives at Def Jam wouldn’t reveal any information on the matter, however the matter will all unfurl 8 p.m. (est).
Cam'ron responded to the rumors on BET's "Rap City" earlier this month stating, "Say my name, I can't wait."
Concertgoers can expect Jay-Z to perform some of his greatest hits as well as take part in some collaborations with his usual impressive list of surprise special guests.
Fans should have high expectations of the show if the guest list is anything like it was on Tuesday night when big names like Beyonce Knowles, Diddy, Magic Johnson, T.I., Serena Williams, Terrell Owens, Eddie George, Kelly Rowland and Timbaland, among others, showed up for the opening of Jay's 40/ 40 Atlantic City location. Partygoers danced into the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The club is located in front of Caesars Resorts, on the corner of Missouri and Atlantic Avenues. The $3.5 million, 15,000 sq. ft. sports bar is equipped with television screens showing sports events, an ESPN Hall of Fame room for about 100 guests, and an A-Rod room which holds 50 people. The rooms can be rented for $3,000 and $1,500 a night respectively.
According to reports, Jay-Z will also be opening a 40/40 location in Los Angeles, possibly with Magic Johnson

The Game isn't letting 50 Cent's recent signings of Mase, Mobb Deep and MOP (nor the rumors that he's signing Kool G Rap, Beanie Siegel, Lil Scrappy) upstage his CEO hustle.
The Black Wall Street CEO has signed New York rapper Shyne to his Black Wall Street East label, along with Charlie Baltimore.
Eastwood and Techniec are also signed to the Black Wall Street and form The Black Gang with Game, the group that was formally called M.O.B. The Black Gang stands for “The Black Lives American Couldn't Kill Gang.”
Shyne is still incarcerated and is scheduled for release in 2009, however the Free Shyne campaign is in full swing.
Meanwhile, The Game has begun work on the follow up to his multi platinum debut The Documentary titled The Doctors Advocate, which will be released under Black Wall Street and Aftermath.
"It's the same format at The Documentary. If it aint broke don't fix it," Game stated. "I am still with Dre and I'm working with some of the best producers."

On Wednesday, Jackson refuted claims that she has a secret daughter with ex-husband James DeBarge.
"I do not have a child and all allegations saying so are false," she said in a statement that aired on entertainment show Access Hollywood. On October 21, Young DeBarge told radio station Hot 97 that his brother James DeBarge and Jackson had a daughter named Renee, who is living with Jackson's oldest sister, Rebbie Jackson.
The family's attorney then told told E! Online that in previous years he had asked every member of the family and they all said the same thing, "From the sisters to the mother, every last one of them said it never happened."
Publicists for Jackson didn't make any statement at the time, fueling rumors that Jackson would admit she did in fact have a child.
A brief history on the brief marriage: Jackson and DeBarge were married for only three months in 1984. Renee is 18, which means she would have been born in 1987, the same year Jackson's debut album Control, was released. The whole secret child thing isn't entirely hard to believe.
After her short-lived marriage to DeBarge, Jackson secretly married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991 and nobody really knew that happened until they spilt up in 1999. Currently the singer is publicly dating Jermaine Dupri who is acting as executive producer on the album Jackson is recording for release in 2006.
