With Late Registration three months away, Kanye, accompanied by Jay-Z, recently visited New York's Hot 97 to premiere his cut "Diamonds." It's the first track from his highly anticipated sophomore album set to drop in July. On the song, Ye recalls his starving artist days, getting robbed for awards, but also puts an end to speculations and rumors about Roc-A-Fella since the company folded into Def Jam this year.
"People asking me is I gon give my chain back/ That'll be the same day I give the game back/ You know the next question dawg, ‘Yo where Dame at?'/ This track the Indian dance to bring our reign back/ What's up with you and Jay man/ ‘Ya'll ok, man?'/ They pray for the death of our dynasty like ‘Amen'," Kanye spits on the track.
This week, the Louis Vutton Don was also seen throwing up The Roc's trademark diamond sign for the cameras before his performance at H&M Live in NYC's Central Park. Contrary to public perception, Roc-A-Fella Records is still operating under Jay-Z. The roster includes the aforementioned West, Roc veterans Young Gunz, Peedi Crakk, Freeway and new additions Foxy Brown and Corey Gunz. And while Bleek recently told SOHH.com how he's curt with his former boss, Dame Dash, West told Hot 97 listeners that he and Dame are still friends.

Common's Be leaked nearly two weeks ago, the Chicago emcee isn't stressing over the matter. In recent online interviews, Com revealed that the album version leaked onto the Internet was not Be's final version. The bootlegged version featured 11 songs, 9 produced by Kanye and 2 by Detroit beatsmith Jay Dilla. SOHH.com hears that Com completed more cuts with Kanye and that Dilla is set to have more tracks on the final version. Meanwhile, Be's lead single, "The Corner" is presently BET's most played video. The video has also been on "106 & Park's" countdown 13 times and peaked at #3 earlier this month. As reported last week, Com is readying a remix of the track featuring Scarface and label mate Mos Def. Word is Com has also been in the lab with Kanye to work on his forthcoming album, Late Registration.

Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg recently criticized Em for portraying a false image of toughness in his music and film. In a recent interview with Details Magazine, Wahlberg, who was convicted of assault and served time 17 years ago, bashed Slim for glorifying his rough upbringing in the semi-autobiographical 8 Mile flick. Wahlberg also takes shots at Ben Affleck and his The Departed co-star, Matt Damon for highlighting a rough childhood in Good Will Hunting. "My childhood wasn't some ‘8 Mile' bullsh!t where you go and have a rap-off, or like Westside Story where you all start dancing and sh!t. If I make a film about my upbringing, it's gonna be more than about a f#@$ing kid doing math like Good Will Hunting, you know what I mean," the actor told Details.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony recently shared that they're getting contributions from Dr. Dre, Kanye West and Swizz Beatz for their upcoming disc. On a side note, Layzie Bone is prepping a rock project that features a remake of Pink Floyd's "Money" and Guns N Roses' "Welcome To The Jungle." The latter song reunites Guns lead singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash, who is now a part of Grammy-nominated group Velvet Revolver.
