Word is Public Enemy is outraged by "Strange Love," the VH1 reality series starring group member Flava Flav and eccentric European actress Brigitte Nielsen. In a recent statement, front man Chuck D wrote that the group was "disgusted" with Flav's portrayal on the VH1 series. The statement didn't criticized "The Surreal Life" or Nielsen, but specifically targeted the show's creators and accused them with "Flav-ploitation."

"What is offensive is that his character and private issues are being trashed in front of millions for the mere sake of profit and ratings," Chuck stated in regards to an episode that depicts Flav and his children's personal problems. "It has been harmful to Flav's standing and legacy of being our brother, regardless of what he got paid, fame, infamy, ratings." Chuck also briefly voiced his disappointment with Flav for allowing himself to be exploited by the network.

It turns out that Will Smith didn't dis Eminem on his "Mr. Nice Guy" track. Big Will only commented on being dissed on 2000's "The Real Slim Shady." On the track, Will, who uses an unusually rough delivery spits, "Dissed by Eminem; but didn't bother him / Yup, but he's classy Big Will; just get another 20 mil / walk right pass he / I'm a nice guy, why y'all harassing me?" Smith does however take shots at radio host Wendy Williams and TV talk show host Larry Elder when he offers, "Larry Elder (Uncle Tom) / You lucky I didn't make you the whole damn rhyme / Wendy Williams; you don't know me /I'm not your punching bag; you won't blow me / Up, girl better leave me alone / Before I buy your radio station and send ya home."

After months of anticipation, Common's 6th album, Be has just been handed a classic "XXL" rating in XXL magazine. The LP features Com returning to Resurrection form over hard-knocking drums and soulful samples with Kanye West handling 9 tracks and Jay Dilla contributing 2 more. Kanyezee is the album's only guest emcee while John Legend and Bilal provide vocals on several tracks. In its review XXL's scribe writes, "[Common] birthed '05's top LP. For those who requested the raw from an MC accused of having gone soft, 'Be' provides enough dope to OD on. Common has created a flawless album. He's birthed the total package. Common has raised the bar."

Fat Joe has commented on his opinion regarding 50 Cent in a recent Associated Press interview, “It's like a girl who's in an abusive relationship. She feels like no other man looks at her the same, no other man loves her, so she knows she's tired of getting beat up, but she don't wanna go nowhere else, because she's just scared. So even though he doesn't need (to battle) now — he was going to sell records anyway — he feels like, 'Yo, I gotta dis somebody, 'cause that's what made me.'"

Feuding has become a way of life for 50 Cent. He fueled much of his 2003 breakout success by attacking fellow Queens rapper Ja Rule, and he went on a rampage earlier this year against Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Nas and Shyne. He also sparked a nasty feud with his protege The Game, but called a truce on that one earlier this month.

Fat Joe says with all of 50's success, he can't understand why the rapper isn't in a more peaceful state of mind.

"I would trade my life for 50 Cent's in a heartbeat right now, and have my sneaker deal and $87 million last year, and go buy me an island somewhere," Fat Joe said. "I don't know what this kid is mad about."

In the same spirit as the classic rock satire This is Spinal Tap, Damon Dash is getting set to release the film Death of a Dynasty which offers a funny and satirical look behind the closed doors of Dash’s and Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella empire.

The film centers upon the rise of hip hop from music subculture to mainstream lifestyle staple. Shot in New York City, the film centers around Dave Katz (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), a journalist at a hip-hop magazine who is sent on assignment to uncover the often comedic underworld of the hip-hop music world run by the Dash (producer of The Woodsman) and rap superstar Jay-Z (Fade to Black). Dave believes he is suddenly accepted into Roc-a-Fella team and privy to the daily "goings on" at one of the world's hottest record companies. Although he is actually "two timing" the magazine (feeding sordid gossip items about the feuding partners to local gossip columns), the journalist thinks he is a real "playa" only to find it’s he who is getting "played."

The film features a number of cameos from the likes of Carson Daly, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Peter Saarsgard as well as a number of hip-hop stars.

Look for Death of a Dynasty in theaters April 29th.
