Heads who expected to see Shady's version of Girls Gone Wild shouldn't hold their breath. According to reports from Girls Gone Wild and Shady's camp, "Girls Gone Wild Shadystyle", which was shot over last year's Anger Management tour has now been shelved. The word is that the company wasn't too pleased with Em's involvement or the finished product.
Yet, Em's time is too precious to sweat over lost tapes. Apparently, Slim's lawyers have yet to dismiss the lawsuit filed by DeAngelo Bailey, Em's former classmate. Bailey is suing Em for slander, claiming that while he's depicted as a bully in Em's 1999 stand out cut, "Brain Damage," Bailey was the one being bullied around.
And Em's old girls have also gone wild -- talking about his sex life. In Maxim Magazine's September cover story, Mariah Carey, who has reportedly dated Em for a short period, asserts that the two have never hit the sheets.
Meanwhile the mighty Mos Def has just announced a London date scheduled for September 6, 2003. And fans who have been yearning for Mos' smooth delivery and thought-provoking rhymes are getting closer to their wish. Though he's been busy reading scripts, Mos' finally getting back to the music. Besides collaborating with M.O.P on Mark Ronson's forthcoming compilation, Mos's "What's Beef" and "Close Edge" have created a buzz for his return. His long awaited sophomore solo LP, Mos Def Presents The Black Jack Johnson Boogie Man Show featuring collabos with Foxy Brown and Ludacris is set to drop before the end of the year.
When Busta Rhymes claimed he "ain't never scared" on Bone Crusher's remix, he wasn't playing. Busta was scheduled in court for pre-trial this week, but opted to finish the final leg of the Roc The Mic Tour instead. Busta is being charged with battery and assault charges, stemming from an incident with 21-year-old Celine Guigere who claims the Courvoisier sipper grabbed her hair, slammed her head into a table and threatened to kill her. If convicted, Busta could face up to 30 months in prison and fined $1,000. He is heading back to court on September 18, 2003.
