In an effort to continue fighting internet piracy, Virgin records has sent out advance copies of the Neptune’s Spymob project encoded and copy proof. And have gone a step further with the release of Gangstarr’s long-awaited, The Ownerz by making writers sign a contract to receive the advance and then encoding the persons name on the disc.

(Interestingly, Gangstarr is slated for a 06/24/03 release date and has yet to be leaked onto the internet. Virgin may have, in fact slowed internet bootlegging down a little, but it won’t stop it)
