Hip-Hop heavyweights Jay-Z and 50 Cent are worth more than their weight in gold. According to reports, their The Roc The Mic Tour, announced just days ago, has broken a record with the strongest ticket sales and best first day sales than any other summer tour of any genre. Jay-Z adds this notch to his belt alongside the mega-success of his groundbreaking 1999 Hard Knock Life Tour.
The dynamic duo will hit the road with a stellar lineup for 62 days, doing 34 shows in total. Performing alongside Jay-Z will be Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek and Freeway while G-Unit minus Tony Yayo will back up 50 Cent. Depending on the venue fans can expect to see Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Sean Paul, Lil' Mo, Bone Crusher and Fabolous.

A federal jury has recommended Dr. Dre pay a British record label a $1.5 million dollar payday for illegally sampling a recording the record label owns.
Minder Music claims that Dre illegally sampled Fatback’s 1980 song “Backstrokin,” on his 2001, which moved over 9 million units.
U.S. District Judge Consuelo B. Marshall has yet to sign the judgment, according to lawyers on both sides of the case.

On the up-and-comer roster is a new Brooklyn emcee called Angelous who is making some noise primarily due to the fact that he sounds exactly like Jay-Z. But not in a Shyne/Biggie kind of way. But rumor has it, it's virtually impossible to tell them apart. His track A.N.G.E.L. is getting some play in the DC/Baltimore area. In the track he claims he's not stealing Jay's style, but it's the other way around. Playin' the track got some folks so confused they were calling into the radio station asking why Jay was dissin' himself.
Look for Angelous to appear on an upcoming mixtape entitled Guess Who's That by Lt. Dan, and his own soon to be released 12-track debut, It Ain't a Game Part 2
