The buzz is that Dre’s long-awaited “Detox” will finally drop this summer. Heads are also saying that Eve is leaving Ruff Ryders for Aftermath. These rumors have been denied by Interscope.
Word is that the Outsidaz have disbanded. Az Izz has reportedly left the group. Yah Yah has not been an "active" member for nearly two years, and Young Zee is only on speaking terms with Pacewon.
According to a report on CNN, a shooting in Los Angeles Thursday night struck a convoy of cars, one of which was carrying rapper Snoop Dogg. Authorities said one of the musician's bodyguards was injured. Snoop Dogg was not hurt.
Police said up to five cars were traveling through the Mid-City area when the shooting happened at about 9 p.m. (PST). The rap star's entourage included seven bodyguards - five were from the Inglewood school district and two were state parole officers.
Another car pulled alongside the convoy and three men with guns opened fire. Police Sergeant Brian Owen said it appeared that one of the gunmen wanted to speak with Snoop Dogg, and words were exchanged before bullets hit two of the cars.
An off-duty police officer with the Inglewood school district was shot in the back. He was taken to a hospital and released early Friday. It's unclear if the wounded man was in the same car as Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was questioned by police along with the bodyguards and other people who were with him. Owen saids he does not expect 31-year-old Broadus and the others to be booked for a crime. No arrests have been made

50 Cent recently got booed at the House of Blues in Chicago. The multi-platinum rapper only performed a 25 minute set, after the fans paid $40.50 to see him. When 50 left the stage and the fans realized he wasn’t coming back out, the fans let loose...
Speaking of 50, the rumor mill is turning...cats are saying that Beyonce is now with 50. Not only that, but 50 was the reason Beyonce dumped Jigga. Sounds like tabloid material to me y’all, believe it when you see it...
Speaking of Jay-Z (another brilliant segway!), reactmag reports that Jay recently commented on the Ja Rule and Eminem beef and had this to say, “Ja's being real stupid on this one," he said. "He was OK, he had his spot, you know? This will bury him. No one's ever beat Em in no battle, and he's gonna kick that ass hard."
After Em finishes destroying the mousekateer, he may just have a showdown with former partner in rhymes Royce Da 5’9. The situation with the two of them is quite personal and Royce has been pretty careful as to what he says, but it seems as if his anger is building. On DJ Absolut’s “Operation Lockdown” he tells Em “I might even do a song with Ray/ sign to Murder Inc. and hit you with a song a day.” Could be one for the ages...
